Atelier Nur — Artisanal Clothiers, since 1952

Four generations of tailoring. One new atelier.

1952

Where it began

Tailoring has been part of Sabah's family for four generations: her great-grandfather, grandfather and father before her. The family's connection to Esquire's Tailors dates to 1952.

2025

A new chapter

In June 2025, Nurus Sabah and Pradyumna Mohan opened Atelier Nur in Fraser Town, Bengaluru. Sabah leads design and creative direction. The idea is simple: good tailoring begins with understanding the person who will wear it.

Nur

The name

An atelier is a workshop where things are made with care. Nur is the Arabic word for light. Together, the name describes a place where an idea becomes clear and then takes shape in cloth.

Today

Atelier Nur creates made-to-measure clothing for women and men through personal conversation, thoughtful fit and hand-finished detail.
